Friday November 9, 2007 in Brixey MO 7:00 PM Jimis Damet started Rocky Grove Sun Company in 1986 and has been using solar electric and thermal power since 1982. He has designed and installed over 300 PV systems (Photo Voltaic also known as solar systems) as well as wind and microhydroelectric in the Ozark region and has promoted the idea of sustainable lifestyles as a whole system view of our impact on our environment. Jimis recently installed a solar system in Brixey, generating roughly 500kilowatt hours of power per month. Solar power is becoming a better choice in MIssouri since recent passage of the Easy Connect Act which requires power companies to purchase extra power from home solar systems without additional insurance costs or other fees.
